At the foot of the Lebombo Mountains on the shores of Lake Jozini, our 5 star graded White Elephant Safari Lodge captures the history and romance of the colonial era. Eight luxurious safari tents, each with ball and claw bath and outdoor canvas shower, provide a secluded retreat in the unspoilt Pongola Game Reserve wilderness. The following services & facilites are included:
- Accommodation in our Luxury Safari Tent Suites.
- Pre-activity continental breakfast, brunch (late breakfast) & Dinner.
- Afternoon tea (high tea), daily coffees, teas, juices, cakes, snacks and savories,
- Two eco-activities per day which include game drive, guided walk, boat cruise, tiger fishing, guided elephanting, black rhino tracking or canoeing - depending on weather conditions.
- V.A.T
- Soft drinks, bottled water, local beers and house wines, activity drinks.
The following services & facilites are excluded:
- Gate Entrance Fee: R 20 per vehicle (R 50 after hours: 18h00-6h00) payable at the gate.
- Non local beers, all spirits, select wines.
- Laundry services
- Curio purchases
- Transfers to and from camp.
NOTE: Strict gate hours of 06.00-18.00, arrengements need to be made for late arrivals. Road from gate to lodge is a 12 km gravel road, can be driven with normal sedan.
Bush Camp
Private Bush Villa - Self-Catering
Situated in the beautiful Pongola Game Reserve, this unique lodge can now be exclusively hired for a totally private bush experience. Thatched en-suite chalets are generously spacious with quality linen and overhead fans. Open plan kitchen, dining room, bar and swimming pool with spectacular views ensure a “close to nature” relaxed ambience. Venture into the wilderness with a field guide on bush walks, game drives, boat cruises or cast the water for tigerfish. White Elephant Bush Camp is an ideal escape from the busy hurried world for families and friends.

Special Package: We can stock up the kitchen with your ‘grocery’ (food & beverages) list subject to two weeks notice. Cost depends on your order.

Twin beds (can be converted on request) en-suite bathroom with shower (A ball’n claw bath has been placed under an old Marula tree some distance into the bush from the suite. Hot and cold water is on tap and the bath has been screened by a woven-stick “wall” (in traditional Zulu style) to ensure total privacy.)

100% payable if cancelled 7 days or less prior to arrival date
75% payable if cancelled one to four weeks prior to arrival date
50% payable if cancelled four to six weeks prior to arrival date
25% payable if cancelled six to eight weeks prior to arrival date
